Purpose of CatchLingo

The purpose of CatchLingo is to help people learn languages through the world around them. It is an AI-powered language-learning application that turns everyday objects into vocabulary lessons. Point your camera at any object — a coffee cup, a butterfly, a street sign — and CatchLingo identifies it using AI image recognition, creates a collectible sticker, and teaches you the word in your chosen language with native-sounding pronunciation.

Instead of memorizing word lists, you learn through the things you actually see every day. Every photo becomes a small discovery, and your collection grows into a personal visual dictionary. CatchLingo supports 15 languages and is available on Android (iOS coming soon).

How CatchLingo Uses Google Data

Google Sign-In

CatchLingo offers Sign in with Google as a convenient authentication method. When you sign in with Google, CatchLingo accesses your Google account's basic profile information — your name, email address, and profile picture — solely to create and identify your CatchLingo account.

This information is used exclusively for:

• Account creation & authentication — so you can sign in without creating a separate password
• Displaying your identity — showing your name and avatar within the app
• Account recovery & communication — we may use your email to send important account-related notices

What CatchLingo Does NOT Do

• CatchLingo does not read, upload, or access your Google Drive files
• CatchLingo does not access your Google Photos library
• CatchLingo does not send emails on your behalf
• CatchLingo does not share your Google data with any third party
• CatchLingo does not use your Google data for advertising purposes

Data Storage & Deletion

Your Google profile information is stored securely and is only retained while your CatchLingo account exists. You can request account deletion at any time — see our Delete Account page. Upon deletion, all associated Google profile data is permanently removed from our systems.
