Welcome to CatchLingo. By downloading, accessing, or using the CatchLingo app (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. The Service
CatchLingo is an AI-powered language-learning app. You take photos of objects, and our AI identifies them, creates collectible stickers, and teaches you the word in your chosen language with native pronunciation. The Service is provided on an “as is” basis (see Section 10).
2. Credits & Recognition
Each photo recognition consumes credits. You can choose a recognition model based on your needs:
- Economy — 3 credits per recognition
- Fast — 7 credits per recognition
- Quality — 10 credits per recognition
Credits are consumed when a recognition request is submitted, regardless of the result.
3. Subscriptions
We offer subscription plans (Lite, Pro, and Max) that grant a monthly allowance of credits. Subscription pricing and credit allowances are shown in the app and on our Pricing page. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel anytime through your Apple App Store or Google Play settings, and you will keep access until the end of the current billing period.
4. Free Use & Daily Check-in Credits
CatchLingo is free to download and use. You can earn credits through daily check-ins. Check-in amounts, bonus rules (for example, 2× credits at a 7-day streak or 3× at 14 days), and any expiration rules are set by us and may change over time.
5. Our Right to Adjust Models, Credits & Features
To keep improving the Service, we may adjust the AI models we use, add or remove recognition models and quality tiers, change the credit cost of any model, and modify how credits (including check-in credits) are granted, calculated, or expired. We will act reasonably when making such changes, but these elements are subject to change at our discretion.
6. Refunds
If you believe you were charged in error or are otherwise dissatisfied, contact us and we will review your request. Refund decisions take into account the credits and tokens you have already consumed and the circumstances of your request, and are handled on a case-by-case basis at our discretion; we reserve the right of final interpretation on refund outcomes. For subscription refunds, you may also request a refund directly through the Apple App Store or Google Play under their own refund policies. Nothing in these Terms limits any non-waivable consumer rights you have under your local laws.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to misuse the Service — for example, not to upload unlawful, abusive, or infringing content, not to attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or overload our systems, and not to use the Service for any illegal purpose. You are responsible for the photos you submit and for ensuring you have the right to submit them.
8. User Content & Photos
Photos you upload are processed to generate recognition results and are then deleted. See our Privacy Policy for details on how your data and images are handled. We do not claim ownership of your content.
9. Intellectual Property
CatchLingo, its name, logo, stickers, and software are owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for its intended purpose.
10. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” AI recognition may occasionally be inaccurate or incomplete; you should verify important information independently. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.
11. Changes to These Terms & Pricing
We may update these Terms and adjust our pricing, plans, or credit allowances at any time. We will post the updated Terms here with a new “Last updated” date. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
12. Account Deletion
You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time via our Delete Account page.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to the developer’s jurisdiction, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
